A few questions you may have...Answered!

I've received a few calls asking why only one ticket was included in the envelope when there may be two or more people on the invite. This is simply because the tickets....don't really mean anything :) It is just part of the invite!
Because our wedding theme is 'Music', Ryan and I decided to send out our wedding invites like we would for an album release- with an 'event flyer' and a 'ticket.' The only difference? This ticket is just for fun- there's no need to bring it with you- but please.... don't forget your dancing shoes and party pants!!!

Another question you may have- "Do I need to RSVP for both the wedding AND the reception?"
No- If the ticket in your envelope reads 4:30pm- Please only RSVP to the wedding. I am already planning on this smaller, more intimate group to stay for the reception.
Those with a ticket reading 9:00pm - I invite you to RSVP for only the reception. It is very valuable to know how many of you will be joining us so we can nail down how many pizzas to order at midnight.

Please, if you have ANY questions at all, or if you would rather RSVP over the phone, call me at 651.262.6836

What we mean by "Black & White Attire Only"

It has always been a dream of mine to have a 'Black & White Party' - so why not do it for our wedding???!!! On your invite you'll see "Black & White Attire Only Please"- By this, we simply mean... wear black and white! It doesn't need to be a tux, or a super fancy outfit, just dress to dance and be comfortable!!! Think Semi-Formal. A white shirt and black pants for the guys- a simple black dress with a few white bangles for the ladies... just remember- be comfortable!

In exactly 2 months- 'Kitty D' becomes 'Kitty T' :)

What a rollercoaster ride this has been so far!
There are so many things to consider about the big day that I hadn't even dreamed of! Thank GOD I have Ryan's mom Kathy to fill in the blanks that I missed- it's a blessing to have Martha-Betty Stewart-Crocker on my side to pick up the slack! :)

Our "detail meeting" at the Profile Event Center is tomorrow- and I'm almost positive I've got all the bases covered. Let's just say that this is going to be one crazy party!

This past weekend was Ryan's surprise 30th birthday party up in Fergus Falls- and he was definitely surprised! The Klein's, Hanna's, Eckley's, Reeves', Godfrey's, Vacek's and Anderson's all made it out to celebrate. It took me quite a while to get them all compiled, but I had 30 of Ryan's closest friends and family write him a letter for his 30th- a unique and unforgettable gift that I hope he truly appreciates. (Trust me- it is NOT easy to get a guy to write a letter for his buddy- and MOST of the 30 people were men!) All joking aside though, I am GLAD its over! It was beyond stressful trying to keep a secret from my uber-intellectual fiance'! A HUGE thank you to all of those that helped out with the presents and planning.

So many details!!

I'm going to admit- I thought I had this whole wedding thing pretty well under control. I started the ball rolling right away after the engagement (ok, maybe even a little bit before :) in order to be on top of things!! I have started to realize that for every detail I get to cross off of my list, at least 5 more pop up in it's place! I'm just so happy to have a great support system to help me through this!

Most all of the big things are taken care of. Venue, food, dress, invites, dessert, music, flowers, decorations, and license. All I have left are the little details- that keep piling up!! I can't even begin to tell you though, how excited I am to show off all those little details- to me, they make a wedding personal, intimate, and most of all, memorable!

Mark it down on your calendars!!!

I have finally nailed down the bridal shower and the bachelorette party dates.

The first bridal shower will take place in Fergus Falls at Kathy and Greg's home on Fish Point ~
Sunday, April 7th~ Starting at 11am we will be having a nice relaxed brunch and we are hoping for beautiful weather to go with it!

The second bridal shower will be at Ryan and I's new home in Chanhassen ~
Saturday, April 27th~ Also starting at 11am, we will be having a FIESTA~ complete with margaritas and Coronas! The shower will last till around 4 pm and immediately following is the bachelorette party!!!!
We're going to keep it pretty low key for the party, no downtown Minneapolis, no Fire Fighters or Policemen (sorry Mom!), just a laid back night of games, drinks, great food, and spending time with my most important ladies!!

Looking forward to the festivities, Ladies. Coming up sooner than I can imagine!! Woo HOO!

Only 100 days left!!!!

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of Ryan asking me to be his wife. I can hardly believe we've already been engaged for an entire year- and even more shocking is that there are only 100 days until the big day! I've been told countless times how fast the days will fly by, and boy, have they been ticking away quickly already!!
I've gotten most of the big things taken care of already- dress, venue, officiant, bridal party, food, entertainment, and most of the decorations, but its the SMALL things that really make a difference! Those minute little details that I hope everyone notices and remembers for years to come. I'm really trying to put Ryan and my personality into every aspect of the evening, from the decor and location, all the way down to the buckles on my shoes!! I'm very adamant about making everything myself (not the food of course!), but practically everything else- table decor, bridal party gifts, bouquets, etc. and am well on my way to everything being completed in time. Just have to keep plugging away!

This valentines day I'm thankful. Thankful for my handsome hubby-to-be, for my sweet little boy bears, and for the beautiful house that we moved in to this year. It has been QUITE a year for the Bear Family, and I am nothing short of elated for our beautiful future that lay ahead.

Just a little over 3 months away- and its time to get down to business!

We moved into our beautiful new house in August 2012. It's already been six months and yet sometimes I still feel as though this is just a vacation! That one day soon we will have to pack up and head back to our townhome! We are blessed and thankful to have found a home so perfect for us, and for our boys. Yes, I said boys! We took the plunge in early November and adopted a 2 year old pup named Prince.

Barkley James and Prince the day they met. Two peas in a pod!!
He fit in perfectly with our little Family Bear, quickly and seamlessly. It's hard to imagine  life without him now- and Barkley fell in love with him at first sight! I'll admit though, Barkley is spoiled and used to all the attention, so he gets a bit jealous from time to time. Let's just say we're working on that!

Nana and her boys!

Family Bear- relaxing after our first Thanksgiving in the new house

The Boy Bears voted for Barry O!!!

Another big thing has been happening in my life after Zumba On Fire took off- I dove head first into yet another new endeavor- Bring It! Studios!!! Started with two other amazing women, I am the co-founder of this little brain child of two working mothers with full time families just looking for a place to relax, unwind, and take some time out for themselves.

Intrigued??? Check us out at BringItStudios.net!! (Come in and you may even run into Mike Delfino from Desperate Housewives!!-dead serious!!) Big things are always happening! :)

Aside from those three life changing events taking place, I have been really focusing on the wedding (when I have the time- HA!) I'm making all of the decorations, concocting recipes for the signature drinks, and keeping the hubby-to-be on task as much as possible. I'm truly more excited for that day than I have been for anything- EVER! To have everyone I love in the same room is going to be an incredible feeling.
